How we research, write, date, and correct what you read here.

Last updated: 13 June 2026

Studination publishes information that Nepali students and their families use to make large, hard-to-reverse decisions — which country to study in, how much to borrow, what to put in front of a visa officer. We treat that responsibility seriously. These are the rules we hold our own content to.

Where our facts come from

We cite primary sources, not other study-abroad blogs. For Nepal-specific processes that means the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology (MoEST) NOC portal, Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) for forex caps, and the Department of Foreign Employment for migration figures. For destination facts we use official university admissions pages, government immigration sites (USCIS, IRCC, the Home Office, the Department of Home Affairs, JASSO, DAAD), and official statistics bodies (IPEDS, HESA, BLS, the NHS pay scales). Where a number cannot be tied to an official source, we publish a band or an approximation and say so — we do not invent a precise figure to look authoritative.

How we keep it current

Every fact-heavy page carries a Last verified date. Exchange rates, tuition, visa fees, minimum wages, and intake dates are reviewed on a rolling quarterly cycle, and any time a primary source changes. When we update a number we update the verified date with it. If a verified date is more than 90 days old, treat the time-sensitive figures on that page with extra care and confirm them at the source.

Who writes and reviews

Our guides are written and reviewed by counselors who have worked directly with Nepali students through the NOC, NRB remittance, document attestation, and visa processes. Country and finance pages are checked against the primary source before publishing. We are not licensed immigration consultants, lawyers, or financial advisers, and we say so plainly wherever it matters.

Our independence

We do not take commissions from universities, banks, or lenders, and our tool results are not ranked by who pays us — because no one pays us to rank. Our loan and cost comparisons list options on their actual terms, including options we earn nothing from (such as MPOWER and Prodigy Finance). We never publish invented reviews, ratings, or admission-probability estimates, because we do not have the data to calculate them honestly.

When we get something wrong

Rules and prices change, and we make mistakes. Every fact-heavy page has a Report incorrect data control at the bottom — use it, or email [email protected]. We review every report within 48 hours and correct the page (and its verified date) when a report checks out.

What this is not

This site is for general guidance. It is not legal, tax, immigration, medical, or financial advice for your individual situation. Before you apply, pay tuition, take a loan, or book an exam, confirm the details with the official source and, where the stakes are high, a qualified professional. See our full disclaimer.
