About the Scholarship

Türkiye Scholarships (Türkiye Bursları) is the Turkish government's fully funded scholarship programme, run by the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB). It is open to citizens of all countries except Türkiye, including Nepal, and it places successful candidates at Turkish universities.

A useful feature for applicants is that the scholarship arranges both your university and department placement, so you do not need a separate admission offer first.

2

What's Covered

The scholarship covers full tuition, paid directly to the university, and a monthly stipend of 4,500 TL for associate and bachelor's students, 6,500 TL for Master's students, and 9,000 TL for PhD students. It also provides accommodation, general health insurance, and a one-time return flight.

A free one-year Turkish language course is included before your degree begins, and university plus department placement is arranged for you.

3

Eligibility for Nepali Students

Nepali citizens are eligible. The only people excluded are Turkish citizens and students already enrolled at a Turkish university at the same level you are applying for.

Watch the age caps (under 21, 30, or 35 by level) and the academic minimums (70% for undergraduate, 75% for graduate). GRE, GMAT, SAT, or language certificates are only needed if your chosen programme specifically requires them, and PhD applicants submit a research proposal.

How to Apply from Nepal

Apply online and free of charge through the official Türkiye Scholarships portal during the single window from 10 January to 20 February. Upload your passport, photo, diploma, transcript, and any required exam results.

One application lets you list several programme preferences, and there is no embassy or nominating agency involved. Shortlisted candidates are invited to an interview before final selection.
