For Nepali students

  • TU/e is a strong fit for Nepali students pursuing engineering or technology degrees, its programs in electrical engineering, computer science, data science, and mechanical engineering align directly with Nepal's fastest-growing graduate demand sectors, and the university's Brainport industry ties offer internship and thesis project access that few universities can match.
  • Annual international undergraduate tuition is approximately €18,600 (around USD 20,000) for 2026–2027, which is high but comparable to other Dutch technical universities; the university offers its own excellence scholarships for master's students, and the Dutch government's NL Scholarship (€5,000 one-time, master's level) is also available to non-EEA applicants where programme eligibility applies.
  • After completing a bachelor's or master's degree in the Netherlands, graduates from outside the EU can apply for the one-year Orientation Year (Zoekjaar) permit, which allows unrestricted work rights while searching for employment, a structured, well-established post-study work pathway that gives Nepali graduates a realistic route to highly skilled migrant status.
  • With 37% international students and a significant South and East Asian postgraduate community built around Brainport's multinational workforce, Nepali students are unlikely to find themselves isolated; Eindhoven's cost of living is notably lower than Amsterdam or The Hague, easing financial pressure during study.
