About Inholland University of Applied Sciences

Inholland University of Applied Sciences is a Dutch hogeschool with 37,000+ students across 8 campuses in North and South Holland, offering practice-oriented bachelor degrees.

Inholland University of Applied Sciences (Hogeschool Inholland) is a large Dutch university of applied sciences founded in 2002 through the merger of several regional vocational institutions. With more than 37,000 students drawn from over 100 countries, it operates eight campuses spread across the Randstad region: Alkmaar, Amsterdam, Delft, The Hague, Diemen, Dordrecht, Haarlem, and Rotterdam.

The university focuses on practice-based higher education across six faculties, covering Agri/Food/Life Sciences, Business/Finance/Law, Creative Business, Health/Sport/Welfare, Education/Innovation, and Engineering/Design/Computing. All programmes lead to NVAO-accredited degrees. English-taught bachelor programmes include Business Innovation, Creative Business, Information Technology, Applied Mathematics/Data Science, Aeronautical Engineering, and Tourism Management.

Inholland's campuses are distributed across the economically active western Netherlands corridor. Rotterdam, one of Europe's largest ports, and nearby Delft and The Hague are within easy reach. The university has approximately 190 partner universities across Europe and additional partnerships in Australia, China, South Korea, and Argentina, supporting student mobility.

For Nepali students

  • Inholland's non-EU institutional tuition for 2026–2027 is €10,360 per year (roughly USD 11,200), which is considerably lower than comparable applied-sciences institutions in the UK, Australia, or Canada, making the Netherlands a cost-competitive destination for Nepali students.
  • Graduates of accredited Dutch programmes, including Inholland, are eligible for the Netherlands Orientation Year permit (zoekjaar), a one-year post-study work authorisation that allows full and freelance employment without an employer-sponsored work permit, giving Nepali graduates time to convert their degree into a career in Europe.
  • Inholland offers the Knowledge Grant, an annual allowance of up to €1,500 for non-EU students who complete 60 credits per year on schedule, with a maximum total payout of €4,500 over three years. Students who do not hold a Holland Scholarship in the same year are eligible to apply.
  • The university's broad English-taught portfolio, particularly Business Innovation, IT, and Creative Business, aligns with fields where Nepali students have historically sought international qualifications, and the multi-campus structure means students can choose a city based on cost of living and program fit.
