Nelson Marlborough Institute of Technology (NMIT) is a public tertiary education institution based in Nelson, New Zealand, with additional campuses in Richmond and Marlborough. Founded in 1905, it has operated for nearly 120 years and holds a Category 1 rating from the New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA), the highest possible accreditation level. As of 1 January 2026, NMIT resumed independent governance after a period within the national Te Pūkenga polytechnic network.
