About the Scholarship
Schwarzman Scholars is a fully funded, one-year Master's programme in Global Affairs based at Schwarzman College, Tsinghua University in Beijing. It was created to prepare future leaders to understand China's growing role in the world, and each cohort brings together scholars from across the globe.
The programme is open globally, and Nepali citizens apply through the international track.
What's Covered
The scholarship covers tuition and fees, room and board at Schwarzman College, round-trip travel to and from Beijing, in-country study tours, required course materials including a laptop, health insurance, and a modest personal stipend.
Because it is a one-year programme, the full experience is funded from start to finish.
Eligibility for Nepali Students
Nepali citizens are eligible through the global track. You need an undergraduate degree (or to be completing one before enrolment) and must be aged between 18 and 28 at the start of the programme.
Selection focuses on leadership, intellectual ability, and entrepreneurial spirit. An English proficiency test (such as TOEFL or IELTS) is required only if English was not your language of instruction.
How to Apply
Apply directly online in English through the Schwarzman Scholars portal, choosing the international track. Submit your CV, two essays, transcripts, three recommendation letters, a one-minute video, and English test scores if required.
The global round opens around April and closes in early September, with the cohort beginning study the following August. Late applications are not accepted.
