For Nepali students
- Nepali students are eligible for the Radboud Scholarship Programme, which offers up to 33 places per year for non-EEA master's students and reduces tuition to the statutory EU rate of approximately €2,695 per year, a significant reduction from the standard international fee of €13,500 or more. The NL Scholarship (€5,000, one year) is also open to non-EEA applicants including Nepalis.
- After completing a degree, graduates can apply for the Netherlands Orientation Year visa (zoekjaar), a one-year post-study work permit that allows unrestricted employment without employer sponsorship, giving Nepali graduates a structured pathway to Dutch work experience.
- Radboud's English-taught programmes in cognitive science, artificial intelligence, data science, and environmental management align with fields where Nepali students increasingly seek postgraduate qualifications abroad, and the university's manageable size (roughly 23,000 students) means less anonymity than larger Dutch institutions.
- The Netherlands has a well-established Nepali and South Asian student community, and the cost of living in Nijmegen is lower than in Amsterdam or Rotterdam, making it a more affordable base for students managing tuition and living costs simultaneously.
