World University Rankings
For Nepali students
- WUR's globally top-ranked programs in agriculture, food security, and environmental science are directly relevant for Nepali students interested in sustainable development, rural livelihoods, and climate adaptation, all critical issues in Nepal. The university's applied research orientation means graduates develop practical skills valued by international development organisations and NGOs.
- Nepali students can apply for the WUR Excellence Programme, which offers a full tuition waiver for the 24-month master's programme to high-achieving non-EEA students (GPA equivalent to 80% or above), as well as the Anne van den Ban Fund, which provides full and partial scholarships specifically for talented students from developing countries including Nepal.
- The Netherlands' Zoekjaar (Orientation Year) visa allows WUR graduates to remain in the Netherlands for 12 months after graduation with unrestricted work rights and no work permit required, providing a genuine post-study employment pathway in Europe.
- Annual international undergraduate tuition is approximately €18,300 (~USD 19,900), which is moderate for a globally top-100 university; living costs in Wageningen are lower than in Amsterdam or other major Dutch cities, making overall study costs more manageable.
