For Nepali students
- Ajou's engineering and IT programmes are the strongest value proposition for Nepali students, these are the most in-demand fields among Nepali applicants to South Korea, and Ajou's QS subject rankings in these areas outperform its overall rank.
- Tuition is moderate by Korean research-university standards (roughly USD 7,500–9,800 per year for undergraduates depending on college), and Ajou offers the Ajou Global Scholarship which grants 30–100% tuition waivers based on English proficiency (IELTS 5.5 qualifies for a 30% waiver), making it accessible for Nepali applicants with mid-range scores.
- South Korea's D-10 Job Seeker Visa allows graduates to remain in the country for up to two years after completing a degree to search for employment, and Ajou's IEQAS certification is a prerequisite for students applying for government-backed support including the Global Korea Scholarship (GKS), which Nepal is eligible for.
- Approximately 26% of Ajou's student body is international, giving it one of the higher international student ratios among Korean research universities, which typically translates to stronger English-medium administrative support and a more diverse campus environment for Nepali students adjusting to life in Korea.
