About Jeonbuk National University

Jeonbuk National University (전북대학교) is one of South Korea's 10 national flagship universities and the main higher education institution for the North Jeolla region. It offers undergraduate, master's, and PhD programs across 15 colleges including engineering, agriculture, natural sciences, education, and medicine. Jeonju is a culturally rich and affordable city known for Korean traditional culture (hanok village, Korean food), with monthly living costs comfortably under KRW 700,000 ($520) for a student in a gosiwon or university dormitory. Jeonbuk National University has been actively recruiting international students and has a dedicated International Affairs Office that assists with visa documentation, dormitory allocation, and Korean language support.
