For Nepali students
- App State's non-resident undergraduate tuition runs approximately $23,200 per year (tuition only), lower than many comparable US public universities, making it a cost-accessible option for Nepali families when combined with OPT/STEM OPT work rights that allow up to three years of US work experience after graduation in qualifying STEM fields.
- The Office of International Programs awards scholarships of $250–$2,000 specifically for international degree-seeking students through programs like the Global Engagement Scholarship and Woodson-Horine Global Engagement Scholarship, which Nepali students are eligible to apply for.
- Business, computer science, and education programs at App State align well with career pathways popular among Nepali students, and the university's AACSB-accredited Walker College of Business is nationally recognised for value and teaching quality.
- The university has a 16:1 student-to-faculty ratio, and Boone's relatively smaller-city environment can ease the transition for students coming from Nepal's hill or mountain towns, while the university's strong support infrastructure for first-generation and international students provides practical orientation and advising resources.
