About Arapahoe Community College
Arapahoe Community College (ACC) is a public community college in Littleton, Colorado. It was founded in 1965 as the first community college in the Denver area.
Arapahoe Community College (ACC) is a public two-year institution founded in 1965 as the first community college in the greater Denver metro area. Accredited by the Higher Learning Commission since 1970, it serves approximately 15,000 students across three campuses in Littleton, Castle Rock, and Lone Tree, Colorado.
ACC offers more than 100 degree and certificate programs across seven academic pathways, with particular strength in nursing (including a Bachelor of Science in Nursing), cybersecurity, business, automotive technology, and engineering transfer. A formal articulation agreement with the University of Colorado Boulder allows ACC engineering students to transfer directly into CU's College of Engineering and Applied Science.
The main Littleton campus sits in the southern Denver suburbs, roughly 15 miles from downtown Denver. Colorado State University operates a presence at ACC's Sturm Collaboration Campus in Castle Rock, where students can complete bachelor's degrees in accounting, marketing, and cybersecurity on-site, making ACC a credible starting point for four-year outcomes.

Optional Practical Training (OPT)
All graduates qualify for 12-month OPT. STEM-designated programs (CS, Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, Sciences) qualify for 24-month STEM OPT extension — 36 months total work authorisation.
For Nepali students
- ACC's non-resident tuition for 2025-2026 is approximately USD 17,240 per year for full-time on-campus study, which is substantially lower than four-year university rates, making it a cost-effective entry point into the US education system before transferring to a Colorado public university.
- The guaranteed transfer pathways to all Colorado public universities, including CU Boulder and Colorado State University, mean a Nepali student can complete two years at ACC and transfer into a well-ranked four-year degree without reapplying competitively, reducing overall degree cost significantly.
- F-1 visa holders at ACC are eligible for OPT after completing a qualifying program, allowing up to 12 months of work authorization in the US after graduation; STEM-designated programs may extend this further, providing post-study work experience relevant to US career prospects.
- Institutional scholarships at ACC are open to international students who complete at least one semester and maintain a minimum GPA, though F-1 students do not qualify for federal or state financial aid, so Nepali applicants should budget conservatively and explore external private scholarships before enrollment.
