Bowling Green State University (BGSU) is a public doctoral research university in Bowling Green, Ohio, about 25 miles south of Toledo. Founded in 1910, it enrolls approximately 14,250 students across undergraduate and graduate programs in arts and sciences, business, education, technology, and health professions.

BGSU is nationally recognized for several programs: its Industrial-Organizational Psychology program ranks 3rd in the US by U.S. News, its College of Business ranks among the top 5 Ohio public universities, and its engineering programs rank in the top 100 nationwide. The university hosts a Center for Photochemical Sciences that runs one of the few dedicated PhD programs in photochemistry and photophysics in the world.
