For Nepali students

  • Duquesne's nursing, health sciences, and pharmacy programs are among its strongest nationally, fields where Nepali graduates find strong U.S. job markets and OPT/STEM-OPT pathways that allow 1–3 years of post-graduation work authorization in the United States.
  • International undergraduate applicants are automatically considered for the Libermann Scholarship, a merit-based renewable award ranging from $10,000 to $30,000 per year, which can meaningfully offset the $53,238 annual tuition, making it more accessible than many comparable private U.S. universities.
  • With an acceptance rate around 83%, Duquesne is relatively accessible for competitive Nepali applicants, and its size (8,000 students) means more personal attention than large state universities, while Pittsburgh's lower cost of living compared to New York or Boston reduces overall expenses.
  • The university hosts international students from over 80 countries and offers dedicated international student support services, providing a structured transition environment for students arriving from Nepal.
