For Nepali students
- EMU charges international undergraduate students the same in-state tuition rate as Michigan residents, approximately $16,240 per year for 2025-26, making it one of the more affordable public universities in the United States for Nepali students on an F-1 visa.
- The 4WARD Graduation Scholarship is available to admitted international undergraduates with a 3.0+ cumulative GPA: after successfully completing the first two years, EMU funds full tuition for the remaining two years, substantially reducing the total cost of a four-year degree.
- Nepali students in STEM and business fields can access Optional Practical Training (OPT) and STEM OPT extensions of up to three years after graduation through EMU's Office for International Students and Scholars (OISS), allowing meaningful post-study work experience in the United States.
- The university's strong cybersecurity, engineering technology, and AACSB-accredited business programs align well with fields where Nepali students commonly seek graduate and employment pathways in the U.S.
