For Nepali students

  • NC A&T's engineering and computer science programs are STEM-OPT eligible, meaning Nepali graduates in those fields can apply for a 24-month extension on top of the standard 12-month Optional Practical Training period, giving up to three years of US work authorization after graduation.
  • Out-of-state (international) undergraduate tuition was approximately USD 20,673 for 2024-2025, making it significantly more affordable than flagship state universities or private colleges, the total estimated cost of attendance including housing was around USD 34,600–37,800 per year.
  • The university's fast-growing international student body of nearly 1,000 students from 103 nations, combined with active ISSS (International Student and Scholar Services) support, means Nepali students will find established international student infrastructure and a diverse peer community.
  • Graduate students can pursue departmental assistantships and research funding, and NC A&T's strong industry ties through its engineering and technology colleges create recruitment pipelines with US companies, a practical advantage for Nepali students on F-1 visas seeking post-graduation employment.
