For Nepali students
- Mesa College's transfer pathway programs, including TAG agreements with UC San Diego and SDSU, offer Nepali students a cost-effective route to earning a degree from a major UC or CSU campus, with lower admission barriers and significantly reduced first-two-year costs compared to direct university entry.
- International undergraduate tuition runs approximately $415 per unit (enrollment fee included), coming to roughly $10,000 per year in tuition at full-time load (12 units/semester), far below comparable four-year university fees in the US, making it an accessible entry point for budget-conscious Nepali families.
- F-1 visa students are not eligible for federal financial aid, but the college does offer institutional scholarships open to international students, which Nepali applicants can pursue to offset costs.
- San Diego's large and diverse immigrant community, combined with the college's active International Student Services office, provides a support network for South Asian students; English proficiency requirements (TOEFL iBT 61 or IELTS 6.0) are within reach for most Nepali graduates of A-level or +2 science programs.
