For Nepali students

  • Fredonia's annual international undergraduate tuition is approximately $14,140, well below the $30,000–$50,000+ charged by many private U.S. universities, making it one of the more affordable accredited public options for Nepali students on a tight budget, with total estimated annual costs around $31,895 including living expenses.
  • The university distributes approximately $8 million in merit-based scholarships annually, and international applicants are automatically considered for merit awards upon acceptance, which can meaningfully reduce the net cost of attendance.
  • Nepali students interested in music, music business, or education will find nationally recognized programs here that are difficult to match at this price point; the 11:1 student-faculty ratio means closer mentorship than at large state flagship universities.
  • As an F-1 student at SUNY Fredonia, graduates are eligible for 12 months of Optional Practical Training (OPT) after completing any degree, with a 24-month STEM OPT extension available for qualifying STEM programs, providing a legal pathway to gain U.S. work experience before returning or pursuing H-1B sponsorship.
