For Nepali students
- UNR's engineering, computer science, and earth sciences programs are well suited to Nepali students given strong research infrastructure and an 86% acceptance rate that makes admission accessible for competitive applicants.
- International undergraduate students can apply for the OISS Scholarship ($300–$5,000 per year, merit-based) and college/department scholarships through the university's centralised application; these do not require separate Nepali-specific funding.
- As a STEM-intensive public university, graduates in qualifying STEM programs are eligible for up to 3 years of Optional Practical Training (OPT) in the United States, extending post-study work rights significantly compared to non-STEM institutions.
- Annual international undergraduate tuition plus mandatory fees total approximately $31,400 (excluding housing), which is moderate for a US public research university, and UNR's Predictable Pricing program locks tuition rates for four years, helping families budget accurately.
