For Nepali students
- Nepali students interested in nursing, education, or business will find UNC particularly relevant: its nursing program is CCNE-accredited and nationally recognized, and F-1 graduates in qualifying STEM-designated majors can access up to 36 months of OPT work authorization in the United States after graduation.
- UNC offers the renewable UNC International Undergraduate and Transfer Scholarship for new international students with a minimum 3.0 GPA, applications are due March 31 each year, which can reduce the cost of an already moderately priced institution compared to flagship state universities.
- At approximately $26,000 per year in international undergraduate tuition (2026-27 rates), UNC sits in a lower cost tier than many US research universities, making it accessible for Nepali families managing study-abroad expenses.
- The university's 14:1 student-faculty ratio and emphasis on personalized teaching are well-suited to Nepali students transitioning to the US education system, and its proximity to Denver opens access to internship and career opportunities in a major metropolitan area.
