For Nepali students

  • Richmond meets 100% of demonstrated financial need for admitted international students, and the average financial aid award for international students in 2025-26 was $69,900, which can substantially offset the $70,725 annual tuition for those who qualify.
  • The Jepson School of Leadership Studies is a rare undergraduate programme with no direct equivalent at most universities, offering Nepali students a distinctive credential relevant to careers in public service, development, and NGO work, sectors that many Nepali graduates pursue.
  • U.S. student visa holders with STEM-adjacent degrees can apply for Optional Practical Training (OPT) of up to 3 years, and all graduates are eligible for at least 12 months of OPT, providing post-study work experience in the United States.
  • With an acceptance rate of around 22%, Richmond is selective but attainable for strong applicants; international students make up 8% of the first-year class, and applying by the December 1 Richmond Scholars deadline maximises merit scholarship eligibility.
