University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire (UWEC) is a public university established in 1916 and part of the Universities of Wisconsin system. It enrolls approximately 10,000 students and offers over 130 undergraduate majors across colleges covering arts and sciences, business, education, and nursing and health sciences.

UWEC is widely recognized for its undergraduate research culture, with students regularly co-authoring papers and presenting at national conferences.
