For Nepali students
- Wright State's STEM-heavy curriculum is directly relevant to Nepali students pursuing engineering, computer science, or data science degrees: qualifying graduates are eligible for up to 36 months of work authorization in the United States (12 months standard OPT plus a 24-month STEM OPT extension), giving meaningful post-graduation employment runway.
- International undergraduate students are automatically considered for the UCIE Undergraduate Merit Scholarship ($6,000–$10,000 per year, renewable for 8 semesters) upon admission with no separate application required, making aid accessible without extra paperwork. The International Ambassador Scholarship offers a further $10,000 per year for students who can demonstrate intercultural engagement.
- At roughly $22,862 in annual tuition (2025–26), Wright State sits in the more affordable tier of U.S. public research universities for international students, particularly for STEM-track programs where the 3-year OPT window substantially improves the return on that investment.
- With 1,550 international students from 70 countries representing 13% of the student body, and a growing South Asian presence documented on platforms like IDP Nepal, students can expect a reasonably diverse campus environment with dedicated international student support through the University Center for International Education (UCIE).
