About Tongji University

Tongji University is a comprehensive public research university in Shanghai, China, founded in 1907. It operates under the Chinese Ministry of Education and is a member of the prestigious Project 985 and Double First-Class University Plan, placing it among China's top research institutions. The university covers seven broad disciplinary areas: engineering, science, medicine, management, arts, law, and economics.
Tongji is internationally recognized for its strength in architecture, urban planning, civil engineering, and environmental engineering.
